Michael
W. McMahon
Mr. McMahon is a Partner
of the firm’s Admiralty Group. He specializes
in personal injury and wrongful death litigation
brought by seamen, longshoremen and passengers aboard
commercial and recreational vessels. He has special
expertise in marine insurance litigation.
Mr. McMahon received
his Bachelor in Accountancy and his Master in Accountancy
from the University of Mississippi and his J.D. from the Loyola
University New Orleans School of Law. He served
as law clerk to the Honorable Judge G. Thomas Porteous,
Jr. for the United States Eastern District Court
for the State of Louisiana. He is admitted to the Louisiana (1995) and Texas Bars (2004) and all State and
Federal District and Appellate Courts throughout Louisiana and Texas. He is a member of the Federal
Bar Association and the Louisiana Association of
Defense Counsel. He was a licensed Certified
Public Accountant for ten years and is a former member
of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants
and Louisiana State Board of Certified Public Accountants. Mr.
McMahon is a member of the Board of Directors of
the Mariner's Club of the Port of New Orleans.
